Second quarter is quickly coming to an end as our Christmas break is quickly approaching. We are pushing to finish A Wrinkle in Time in reading and our chapter on verbs in English. The chapters 11-12 comprehension test from A Wrinkle in Time will be on Monday and the overall book test will be on Tuesday. Practice your Auxiliary Verb Song as we continue through the chapter on verbs in English . The test over the chapter and the test over the helping verbs will be next Thursday. Hang in there. We're going to make it!

We've made it through half of the first quarter! With only three and a half weeks left of the quarter, please continue to monitor your student's progress reports every week. As soon as a missing assignments begin to occur, have your child return the missing work as soon as possible. With all of us working together, we can prevent discipline referrals and failing grades. I am proud of your students and the progress they are making. Let's keep up the good work!

Grades will not be sent home this week. There have not been enough grades taken to give you, students and parents, an accurate acount of progress made.

Parents, please ask your children if they have missing work. Even though there are no progress reports this week, your child has been asked to highlight (in their planner) any assignment they completed and turned in to me. If the assignment has not been highlighted, assume that the assignment is late. Students with three or more missing assignments in my class will be referred to the principal.
